Ambassador of Uzbekistan presents credentials to President of the European Commission
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Head of Uzbekistan’s Mission to the European Union, Ambassador Gayrat Fozilov, has presented his credentials to the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, according to the Dunyo news agency.
Following the official ceremony, President von der Leyen commended the outcomes of the inaugural Central Asia–European Union Summit, which took place in Samarkand this April.
She expressed confidence in the continued development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the European Union, Uzbekistan, and other Central Asian countries, reaffirming the EU’s readiness to further deepen its engagement with the region.
