Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Ambassador of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov met with Chairman of the Election Commission of India Sunil Arora.

It should be noted that Sunil Arora is also the Chairman of the World Association of Electoral Bodies (A-WEB) for the period 2019-2021.

During the meeting, information was provided on the work carried out in Uzbekistan to improve the current electoral system and legislation.

Sunil Arora highly appreciated the systematic work carried out in Uzbekistan to improve the national electoral legislation and practice, bringing them in line with internationally recognized standards, and expressed full support for this process.

At the event, the parties discussed issues of establishing cooperation between the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan and the Election Commission of India.
