Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Slovenia, Oybek Shahavdinov, held a series of meetings with high-ranking officials from Slovenia, Dunyo news agency reported.

The meetings included discussions with the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Slovenia, Daniel Krivec; the Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Slovenian Parliament, Predrag Bakovich; and the Director-General of the Directorate for Economic and Public Diplomacy at Slovenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs, Slobodan Šešum.

Additionally, talks were held with the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, Deputy Director of the "Spirit Slovenia" Business Development Agency, Tamara Zajec Balazic, and the President of the humanitarian organization "Slovenian Global Action," Robert Krizhanich.

Key topics of discussion included strengthening inter-parliamentary dialogue, organizing the first session of the Uzbek-Slovenian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, and exploring other areas of bilateral collaboration.

As part of the negotiations, a roundtable was organized jointly with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia to discuss the trade and investment potential of Uzbekistan. Participants focused on ways to activate trade and economic relations, with particular emphasis on attracting Slovenian investors to key sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy and increasing mutual trade turnover.
