Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During a working trip to the southern region of Kazakhstan, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Saidikram Niyazkhodjaev held talks with the akim of Almaty region, Dunyo news agency reported.
The ambassador informed the akim of the measures taken in Uzbekistan to further liberalize the economy, build new industrial facilities, social protection and support for the population, as well as the systemic organization of external labor migration.
As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on organizing, as the epidemiological situation stabilizes, mutual visits of delegations of business circles of Almaty, Tashkent, Andijan regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan with holding business forums, "round tables", presentations with access to the conclusion of specific contracts.
In order to develop interregional ties, an agreement was reached to hold B2B meetings in the mode of videoconference between business representatives to discuss practical steps to further expand trade, economic, investment cooperation, industrial cooperation.
In addition, the negotiations noted the expediency of strengthening interaction between the Akimat of Almaty region and the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan to organize the orderly recruitment of Uzbek labor migrants in accordance with the requests of Kazakh employers. At the same time, employers must submit a complete package of documents for the further conclusion of an agreement on organized recruitment with the Agency for External Labor Migration under the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of Uzbekistan.
During the two-day visit, the delegation of the Embassy also held a meeting at the Atameken Chamber of Entrepreneurs in Taldykurgan with representatives of the business community of Almaty region, during which a presentation of the economic and investment potential of our country took place.
Along with this, an exchange of views took place on promising areas of trade and economic cooperation, investment interaction and industrial cooperation.
At the meeting, businessmen of the Almaty region were presented with a list of investment projects for implementation in Uzbekistan.
As part of the trip, representatives of Uzbekistan also visited the food production plant Mareven Food Tien Shan, Kainar AKB (battery production) and Agrocomplex Zhetysu Magiko (oilseed processing).
