Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov met with Mayor of Kuala Lumpur Mahadi Che Ngah, Dunyo news agency reported.

Mahadi Che Ngah expressed the readiness of the Kuala Lumpur Mayor’s Office to establish cooperation with Tashkent administration, including by signing a corresponding agreement.

The Malaysian side noted the interest in development and expansion of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between the capitals of the two countries.

Mayor Mahadi Che Ngah shared the opinion on the need for exchanging experience in urban planning, the creation of smart cities and modern water and energy supply systems.

The Mayor noted that the study of Uzbekistan’s experience in construction and preservation of world-class historical sights of the country is of particular interest to the Malaysian side.
