Ambassador of Poland completes his mission in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov received today the Ambassador of Poland, Pyotr Ivashkevich, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.

The sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Uzbek-Polish multifaceted relations, specifies the website of the Foreign Ministry.

It was emphasized that the key area of interaction with Poland is the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation, which has significantly intensified in recent years. Despite the pandemic, bilateral trade in January-September 2020 increased by 8.8% compared to the same period of last year due to the export of Uzbek agricultural products to Poland.

During the conversation, interest was expressed in intensifying cultural and humanitarian cooperation, in particular, expanding ties in the field of education. It was noted that the issue of implementing a project to open a branch of the Warsaw University of Management in Andijan is currently being considered.

At the end of the meeting, a high assessment was given to the activities of the Ambassador to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries.

The ambassador thanked for the support of his activities as the head of the Polish diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.
