Ambassador of Japan becomes honorable doctor of UWED

On 9 August 2016, Fumihiko Kato held a meeting at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED).

At the event, the rector of the university Abdumalik Djumanov announced the decision of the Academic Council of the university to conferring the title of Honorary Doctor of the UWED to the Ambassador and handed him the diploma.

Academic Council’s decision recognized personal achievements of Fumihiko Kato in the progressive development of Uzbek-Japanese cooperation in political, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian and other spheres.

In his response, Ambassador sincerely thanked for the appreciation of his activity.
