Almazar District Police Officer Caught Producing Synthetic Drugs
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Tashkent, a preventive inspector was detained after organizing a drug laboratory in government-provided housing, the press service of the State Security Service of Uzbekistan reported.
According to the agency, the officer from the Almazar District Department of Internal Affairs used his official residence to manufacture synthetic drugs.
During the operational search, authorities seized 10.5 kg of the synthetic substance “Alpha-PVP,” 4 grams of “Spice,” 588 grams of liquid used in drug production, as well as equipment and electronic scales.
Additionally, a search of the inspector’s permanent residence in the Tashkent district uncovered 430 grams of the same “Alpha-PVP” substance buried in the ground.
Investigations revealed that the police officer acted under instructions from a Telegram account owner. He received synthetic drug shipments from couriers, processed them in the clandestine laboratory, and then distributed the drugs.
A criminal case has been opened against the detainee under Part 2 of Article 246 through Article 28 (complicity in the smuggling of narcotics in large quantities) and Clause 5 of Article 273 through Article 25 (preparation for illegal sale of narcotics in large quantities) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
