All permit forms with Türkiye to be fully digitalized
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A working meeting was held in Bukhara between representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a delegation from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye.
During the talks, the two sides discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in passenger and freight transportation, as well as the development and modernization of bus terminals and passenger hubs across Uzbekistan, drawing on Türkiye’s experience.
Special attention was paid to studying Türkiye’s practices in implementing intelligent transportation systems and developing modern infrastructure for passenger transport.
The meeting also addressed deepening the digitalization of the transport sector to improve convenience for national carriers engaged in international road freight transport.
It was noted that permits for bilateral and transit transportation are already being issued in electronic format through the E-permit system. The parties agreed to complete the digital transition for permits for transportation to and from third countries in the near future and to launch a pilot phase of the corresponding system.
A full transition to electronic issuance of all types of permits is scheduled to begin in early 2026.
