Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Acting Minister of Health Alisher Shadmanov was appointed as the rector of the Tashkent Medical Academy by a government resolution. The former rector of the academy was relieved of his post due to his transfer to another position.

Alisher Shadmanov was instructed to turn the Tashkent Medical Academy into an educational institution for the country’s medical personnel, a locomotive for future reforms in this area, to raise national medical education to the international level using the example of the Academy.
