Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 November, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on the appointment of the chairman of the State Committee of Uzbekistan for Ecology and Environmental Protection.

According to the decree, Alisher Maksudov was appointed chairman of the State Committee of Uzbekistan for Ecology and Environmental Protection.

Earlier, his candidacy for the post of head of the State Committee for Ecology was approved by the deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

Prior to this appointment, Alisher Maksudov headed the Uzpakhtasanoat company. In this post, he replaced Shavkatjon Abdurazakov. In September, Abdurazakov was approved as acting khokim of the Namangan region.
