Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- AKFA University now accepts Duolingo English Test results along with IELTS and TOEFL certificates.

It should be underlined that all programmes at the first private university in Uzbekistan are taught in English language. Applicants should provide IELTS or TOEFL certificates to confirm the level of their English language proficiency.

To create additional convenience for applicants, the AKFA University administration decided to recognize the results of the Duolingo English Test during admission of the students.

The advantage of the Duolingo English Test is that applicants can take an online test anywhere and anytime. Applicants will also be able to receive results within 48 hours after completing tests.

Also, the Duolingo English Test is more affordable compared to other tests. The cost of Duolingo English Test is US$49. Applicants can take the Duolingo English Test twice a month. The certificate of the Duolingo English Test is valid for 2 years.

– This year AKFA University will not conduct internal English examinations. We recommend that applicants receive an IELTS, TOEFL or Duolingo English Test certificate in advance, Aziz Islamkhodjaev, head of the Academic Affairs and Admissions Department, said.

It should be noted that the minimum IELTS score for applicants in 2021 is set at 5.5 for all schools, TOEFL – 55 and Duolingo English Test – 95.
