AKFA University introduces information and analytical system for meteorological and environmental monitoring

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- AKFA University, in cooperation with the AMUDARIO Research Group, has implemented an information and analytical system for meteorological and environmental monitoring to observe the state of the environment on the territory of the university.

The implemented system allows receiving information about the expected weather changes and the state of air quality on the territory of the university.

The information and analytical system OXUS-WS, created by the AMUDARIO Research Group, is a domestic hardware and software system designed for continuous online monitoring of the meteorological and ecological state of the environment. The complex includes an automated agrometeorological station and software, and allows to conduct the following observations:

Air quality monitoring – the concentration of carbon dioxide and fine dust in the air

Meteorological observations – air temperature, air humidity, wind speed and direction, probability of precipitation.

Agro-surveillance – soil temperature and moisture, electrical conductivity, dew point, steam pressure deficit, etc.

In the next stage of this initiative, in September 2022, the “AKFA University Environmental Monitoring Portal” will be launched in test mode. This portal will provide an opportunity to monitor meteorological conditions and the dynamics of meteorological conditions, as well as the level of air pollution on the territory of AKFA University and the New Uzbekistan Park.

Faculty members and students of the university, residents of the city and independent researchers will be able to download the data collected in the system for personal use and research.
