Air Samarkand Launches Direct Flights Between Tashkent and Abu Dhabi
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting from 26 December 2025, Air Samarkand will launch a seasonal charter program on the Tashkent — Abu Dhabi — Tashkent route, expanding air travel options between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates.
Flights will operate on Fridays using modern Airbus A321 aircraft. Departure from Tashkent is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., with the return flight from Abu Dhabi at 4:00 p.m. local time. Flight duration is approximately four hours to Abu Dhabi and about 3.5 hours on the return leg.
The seasonal program will run until 20 February 2026.
Tickets are available on the airline’s official website, airsamarkand.com, as well as through travel agencies and ticket offices across Uzbekistan. One-way fares start at US$160, while round-trip tickets begin at US$350.
For passengers planning winter vacations in the UAE, the airline, together with official partners EasyBooking and Kompas Tour, offers all-inclusive tour packages, including airfare, 3–5 star hotel accommodations, transfers, meals, and insurance. Travelers flying during the New Year holidays can also opt for a special gala dinner.
Abu Dhabi is a rapidly developing metropolis with modern infrastructure, world-class museums and cultural sites, and comfortable beach areas. The city is known for its high safety standards and is considered one of the most attractive destinations for family and business tourism in the Middle East.
The launch of this route is particularly timely given the current absence of direct flights between Tashkent and Abu Dhabi.
“Since this summer, the number of direct flights between Abu Dhabi and cities in Uzbekistan has significantly decreased. Connecting flights remain inconvenient and costly. The new route will provide passengers with a comfortable and affordable alternative, both as part of package tours and for individual ticket purchases,” said Air Samarkand Marketing and PR Director Oleg Ivanov.
He added that developing new routes aims not only to provide accessible travel options for Uzbek citizens but also to attract tourists from Gulf countries.
The Abu Dhabi flights align with Air Samarkand’s strategy to restructure its route network and expand charter partnerships. In 2025, the airline also established itself as a punctuality leader on the Uzbekistan — Jeddah route, transporting thousands of pilgrims.
Tickets can be purchased on the airline’s website using Uzbek, international, and Russian bank cards, as well as through official sales channels within the country.
