Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Agency for Information and Mass Communications (AIMK), within its powers, monitors and evaluates the activities of press secretaries of state bodies, one of the main tasks of which is timely and complete informing the public about the work carried out in state structures.

At the same time, there are separate cases when some press secretaries, instead of performing their direct duties, are engaged in an unusual business, moreover, they allow exceeding the ethical standards that should be inherent in both the press secretary and the civil servant.

On the eve of the press secretary of the khokimiyat of the city of Chirchik, F. Kodirov, during a public polemic in social networks, expressed his opinion in an incorrect form, violating the generally accepted framework of the culture of communication, made rude expressions, and thereby provoked discontent among the population, which is unacceptable given his status as a civil servant.

Taking into account the above, it was decided that it was impossible to continue labor relations with the press secretary of the khokimiyat of the city of Chirchik, since he violated the ethical norms and the code of a civil servant by his actions, and also was not guided by the norms of the culture of communication in his activities.

AIMK calls on all press secretaries to be correct in their statements, to take seriously the performance of their functional duties, and also to promptly respond to requests from the population.
