Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An international agricultural exhibition AgroWorld Uzbekistan opened in Tashkent, aimed at sharing experience and best practices, integrating partnerships, expanding intersectoral cooperation and dynamically discussing the prospects for the production, processing and distribution of environmentally friendly products in the country and abroad.

AgroWorld Uzbekistan is an important event for the development of the entire agro-industrial complex of the country on an international scale. This year it is held for the 15th time. Industry experts consider the exhibition to be the main meeting place for Uzbek farmers with global manufacturers and suppliers.

The exhibition facilitates the entry of foreign manufacturers into the new and rapidly developing market of Uzbekistan, has a reputation as an effective business event of international level.

The Global Agro-Industrial Forum of Uzbekistan - UGAF 2020 opened as part of the exhibition, the program of which includes various thematic sessions of famous speakers from Europe, the CIS, senior representatives of agricultural enterprises, financial services, innovative programs, research, academia and the public sector.

The forum was opened by the plenary session “Transformation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Agriculture”, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the European Union and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

The purpose of the Forum is the exchange of experience and best practices, the integration of partnerships, the expansion of intersectoral cooperation and discussion of the near future production, processing and distribution of environmentally friendly products in Uzbekistan and abroad.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhodir Halikov and the head of the Delegation of the European Union Eduards Stiprais spoke at the opening plenary session of the Forum.

They address issues of food security and sustainability in agriculture, the search for innovative solutions to reduce the pressure of the agricultural sector on the environment, the transformation of agricultural practices and others.
