Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The French Development Agency (AFD) and the European Commission provided funds for the implementation of the projects "Construction of sewerage systems in Karmana district of Navoi region" and "Reconstruction and construction of sewerage systems in the city of Shakhrisabz and the district center of Kitab district of Kashkadarya region ".

The ADF approved a loan to the Republic of Uzbekistan in the amount of a total of 105 million euros, and the European Commission - a grant of 9 million euros.

In particular, 24.7 million euros were allocated for the implementation of the project "Construction of sewerage systems in Karmana district of Navoi region." The loan is provided with a repayment term of 20 years, including a six-year grace period. The total cost of the project is 28 million euros.

The total cost of the project "Reconstruction and construction of sewerage systems in the city of Shakhrisabz and the district center of Kitab district of Kashkadarya region" is 91 million euros. The AFD loan is 80.3 million euros.

Uzsuvtaminot is the responsible executive body for ensuring the timely implementation of organizational and technical measures necessary for the timely and high-quality implementation of the Karmana project and the Shakhrisabz and Kitab project, targeted and efficient use of the Agency's borrowed funds.
