Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on the establishment of additional non-working days during the celebration of official dates and the postponement of days off in 2023.
The Presidential Decree establishes the following additional days off (regardless of the type of working week): 2 January and 30 June.
In 2023, the following holidays are set for employees with a six-day working week - 3 January, 20 March, 22 March, 24 April, 1 July, 2 September and 30 December.
At the same time, for employees with a five-day working week, days off are transferred as follows:
from 7 January (Saturday) to 3 January (Tuesday);
from 11 March (Saturday) to 20 March (Monday);
from 25 March (Saturday) to 22 March (Wednesday);
from 29 April (Saturday) to 24 April (Monday).
During the celebration of the New Year, residents of Uzbekistan will rest for four days - from 31 December 2022 to 3 January 2023.
Also, due to the fact that 1 October (Teacher and Mentor Day) falls on Sunday, the non-working day in 2023 is postponed to 2 October in accordance with the new edition of the Labor Code.
