Activities of newly established educational institutions to be launched in two phases

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A Presidential Decree “On Additional Measures to Ensure the Quality of Education and Improve the System of Educational Services” (No. PF-76 dated 5 May 2025) has been signed.

According to the document, starting from 1 July 2025, the process of establishing new educational institutions will be carried out in two phases.

During the first phase, institutions providing secondary specialized, vocational, higher, and postgraduate education will be permitted to commence operations after obtaining a license in accordance with established procedures. At the same time, organizations involved in retraining and advanced professional development will be allowed to launch operations through a notification-based procedure.

The second phase involves the special state accreditation of educational programs implemented by these institutions. Only after successfully completing this procedure will they be authorized to begin student admissions. Educational programs that do not receive special state accreditation cannot be used for instructional purposes.

Admitting students to unaccredited programs will be considered a serious violation of licensing requirements and conditions and will result in the revocation of the institution's license.
