Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Economic policy on the use of secondary energy resources has become a matter of national importance in many countries of the world, including Uzbekistan.

Uzbekneftegaz also applies innovative technologies for the rational use of secondary energy resources.

In particular, 4600 kWh electricity was produced at the gas piston power plant of the Sharkiy Berdak compressor station of the Ustyurt gas production department, 1890 kWh - at the gas piston power plant of the Urga compressor station, 2000 kWh - at the Sardob field of the Mubarek oil and gas production department, 2000 kWh - at gas turbine power plants with a capacity installed at the "Bateman" compressor station of the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department from the associated gas.

For 6 months of this year, the above-mentioned power plants generated 8.1 million kWh of electricity.

Together with specialists from the Main Energy Department of the Department for Technical Regulation of Production and Oil and Gas Production Directorates of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, work is being carried out to study and analyze the potential for electricity production through the rational use of secondary energy resources and the implementation of new projects and further increase the volume of existing capacities.
