About 6,200 war veterans receive memorable jubilee medals

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- About 6,200 veterans of war and labour front of 1941-1945 received memorable jubilee medals “Ikkinchi Jahon Urushidagi Galabaning 70 yilligi” (the 70th anniversary of victory in the World War II), the press service of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population said.

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a decree “On awarding memorable jubilee medal “Ikkinchi Jahon Urushidagi Galabaning 70 yilligi” of war and labour veterans of 1941-1945” on 19 February 2015.

According to the decree, the medal is awarded World War II veterans, awarded with various medals and orders for their contribution in the war and hard work in rear in 1941-1945.

In line with the data of the Uzbek people, the medals were handed over to 6,194 veterans of the war and labour from of the World War II.
