About 61.7m allocated to improve water supply in Andijan region

About 61.7 million were directed to implementation of projects on improving water supply of population, newspaper Pravda Vostoka reported.
Head of central control-analytical laboratory of Andijansuvoqava Rashid Kirichenko said that the Uzbek Government allocated US$54million of loan to provide water to settlements. The loan helped to reconstruct water sources and introduce economic variants of water use.
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) provided a preferential loan for US$7.7 million to implement water supply project.
The capital was directed to reconstruction of 10 km of pipeline, which helped to provide water to three streets of regional center. The pumps, generators, polyethylene pipes, compressors and other equipment were purchased.
The projects helped to improve water supply to population and gardens.
