Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – About 5,994 cases of offenses committed by poachers were identified in nine months of 2022. A fine of 8.2 billion soums and damage to nature in the amount of 7.9 billion soums were calculated against the perpetrators, the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection said.

For 9 months, 5,806 applications for felling, replanting and pruning of 358,877 trees and shrubs were received. According to 2,321 appeals, more than 52,000 trees were denied felling, and more than 134,000 trees were denied on 2,108 appeals, thus, about 307,000 trees were saved.

About 1.295 million tons (58.8%) of the total volume of emissions into the atmosphere falls on the share of vehicles, 909 thousand tons (41.2%) - industrial and manufacturing enterprises. 165 dust and gas trapping devices were repaired and replaced with new ones at 42 production and industrial enterprises.

Sanitation enterprises have 4,162 units of special equipment, 4,142 waste collection sites, 18,899 garbage containers, and 195 solid waste landfills at their disposal. The state on a contractual basis provided entrepreneurs with 1339 units of special equipment, 61 landfills, 670 garbage collection points, 50 parking lots, 4648 containers.
