Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 15 October 2021, 5,076 taxi drivers were registered in Uzbekistan as individual entrepreneurs (IP). This was reported by the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a Resolution "On measures to further simplify the regulation of activities for the carriage of passengers by road."
According to the document, from 15 May 2021 until the end of 2022, on an experimental basis, services for the transportation of passengers in cars with no more than four passenger seats are included in the list of activities that individual entrepreneurs can engage in.
According to the State Tax Committee, as of 15 October 2021, 5,076 taxi drivers were registered in Uzbekistan as individual enterprises.
The committee notes that in 5 months they paid 2.22 billion soums of flat tax and 3.93 billion soums of social tax.
Samarkand (807) and Surkhandarya (678) regions, as well as the city of Tashkent (504) are leading in the number of registered taxi drivers-individual entrepreneurs. The lowest indicator is in the Namangan region (78).
They are charged monthly with a fixed tax of 150 thousand soums and a social tax of 1 BRV (270 thousand soums).
