Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- About 50 people were poisoned with ice cream in Almalyk (Tashkent region). This was reported by the press service of the city khokimiyat.

According to the khokimiyat, 49 people were hospitalized with a diagnosis of poisoning.

Of these, 31 patients have already been discharged home. The condition of five more is assessed as average.

Another 13 people are being treated at the city medical association. Their condition is assessed as moderate.

The poisoning was caused by ice cream produced by a private entrepreneur in Almalyk.

The General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan reported that a criminal case was initiated on this fact under Article 257-1 of the Criminal Code (violation of sanitary legislation or rules for combating epidemics). An investigation is underway.
