About 40,000 enterprises created in Uzbekistan in Jan-May

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data from the Statistical Agency, the total number of newly created enterprises in January-May 2023 amounted to 40,100 units (excluding farms and dekhkan farms), and by types of economic activity, they were formed as follows:

in trade – 14,814 units.

in industry - 6,691 units.

in agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 4,721 units.

in the field of accommodation and food services - 2,460 units.

in construction - 2,128 units.

in transportation and storage - 1,908 units.

in the information and communication industry - 1,335 units.

in the healthcare and social services sector - 629 units.

in other types – 5,414 units.
