Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution “On additional measures to expand the network of preschool educational organizations in areas with low coverage” was adopted.
In accordance with the resolution, in 53 districts with a low level of enrollment of children with preschool education in 2021-2022:
- 2 thousand family non-state preschool educational organizations will be created, which will provide 50 thousand children with places;
- the activities of 100 non-state preschool educational organizations will be established on the basis of public-private partnerships with a total capacity of more than 11.2 thousand places;
- 50 state preschool educational institutions with a capacity of 7.5 thousand places will be built;
- by expanding the network of state and non-state preschool educational organizations, their number will be increased to 20 thousand and more than 7.5 thousand new jobs will be created.
According to the resolution, from 1 July 2021:
- family non-state preschool educational organizations are allowed to bring up to 50 children, depending on the available opportunities and hire up to 4 educators and assistants, depending on the number of pupils;
- educators and assistants hired by family non-state preschool educational organizations (in Tashkent, Nukus and regional centers - up to 2 people, in other regions - up to 4 people) are paid wages in the corresponding category on the terms and in the amount of remuneration established for public preschool educational organizations on a short-term or 9-hour basis;
- family non-state preschool educational organizations are provided with educational materials free of charge through the territorial departments of preschool education;
- Until 1 January 2022, non-state family preschool educational organizations will be provided loans for the purchase of furniture, equipment and inventory in the amount of up to 30 million soums for a period of 3 years at a preferential rate of 5 percent with a grace period of 6 months.
