About 1.5m tonnes of cement offered at UZEX

The cement market of the UZEX demonstrates gradual growth this year. As in previous years, bulk cement was highly demanded. Its share in total cement sales made up 94%. In 3.5 months, some 1.4 million tonnes of bulk cement and 90,000 tonnes of packed cement were sold at UZEX.

The volume of offered cement in past period of 2013 is the highest figure for last four years. In 2010, the cement producers realized 1.2 million tonnes of cement and next two years the volume of sold cement decreased.

Kyzulkumcement leads on sales of cement. In the reporting period, the plant realized 281,000 tonnes of cement more compared to the same period of 2012, which helped it to increase its share in the market up to 53%.

The cement of PC400 D-20 claimed the top place in total structure of cement and left behind last year leader pozmix cement by 13%.

Prices of the most demand cement grew in January-April. If the prices for cement were between 245,000 soums to 270,000 soums in the beginning of 2013, the prices made up 275,000 soums for cement of PC400 D20 mark and 285,000 soums for cement of PPC400. The price for high sulfate resistant cement grew up to 314,000 soums per tonne.

As construction season starts, the cement price grew in April. The price of PC400 D20 cement reached 322,000 soums per tonne, pozmix cement – 335,000 soums and CCPC400 D-20 – 374,000 soums.
