About 1.404bn passengers transported in Uzbekistan in 1Q

About 1.404 billion passengers were transported in Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2013, according to the State Statistics Committee.
The State Statistics Committee said that the growth of passenger transportation grew by 4.1% year-on-year in January-March 2013.
Passenger turnover grew by 7.9% and made up 18.701 billion passengers-km.
The volume of cargo transportation rose by 4.9% year-on-year to 273.3 million tonnes. Cargo turnover made up 17.913 billion tonnes-km, which rose by 4.1% year-on-year.
