Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov will visit Russia on 1-2 March. This was announced today by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

She noted that the head of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan will hold talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.

The parties will discuss the entire range of bilateral political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

Zakharova stressed that the ministers will consider the progress of preparations for the signing of interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents within the framework of the upcoming visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation.

It is planned to discuss the tasks of the foreign ministries in the context of the ones to come this year: the 2nd meeting of the Joint Commission at the level of the heads of government of Russia and Uzbekistan, the 22nd meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the two countries, as well as within the framework of mutual support in the fight against the spread of a new coronavirus infection.

The heads of the foreign ministries will exchange views on the regional situation from the angle of a coordinated contribution to promoting an inter-Afghan settlement, stabilizing cooperation, and will also consider a number of other issues.
