Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 July 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada with a residence in Moscow, Alison Mary Leclaire.

Accepting her credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a responsible post and expressed hope that her professional experience would contribute to the further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Canadian cooperation.

During the conversation, the state and promising directions of multifaceted bilateral relations were discussed, ways of expanding the joint agenda were considered.

They noted mutual interest in stepping up a regular political and economic dialogue, in particular by holding political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, deepening inter-parliamentary ties and expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation.

The sides also exchanged views on other issues of regional and international politics.
