Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 January 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received Ruslan Mirzaev, who, on 1 January, assumed the duties of Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (RATS SCO) in Tashkent.

The minister congratulated M. Mirzaev on taking office and stressed that the Uzbek side attaches great importance to the activities of the RATS, considering it as the main body of the SCO to ensure interaction between member states in the fight against terrorism, extremism and separatism.

During the meeting, topical issues of cooperation within the framework of the SCO RATS, the implementation of previously reached agreements and the schedule of upcoming events at various levels were discussed.
