Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 August 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland (with residence in Helsinki) Maria Elina Liivala in connection with the completion of her diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan. 

From 1 September 2021, she takes up the duties of the Director General of the Department of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland.

Welcoming the guest, the Minister highly appreciated the contribution of the Ambassador to the expansion of mutually beneficial bilateral relations.

During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on promising directions for the further development of Uzbek-Finnish cooperation, the schedule of upcoming events at various levels, as well as certain issues of interaction between the parties within the framework of international organizations.

The ambassador, in turn, thanked the Uzbek side for the favorable conditions created for the successful fulfillment of her mission in our country.
