Abdulaziz Kamilov receives credentials from envoys in Moscow

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 December 2020, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received credentials from foreign ambassadors with residence in Moscow.

The ceremony of presenting credentials was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow (Russia), the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan received credentials of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Benin Noukpo Clement Kiki, Graeme Meehan of Australia, Andreas Zenonos of the Republic of Cyprus, Ngo Duc Manh of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Brian McElduff of the Republic of Ireland, Clemens Kashuupulwa of the Republic of Namibia, Ekaterini Nassika of the Greek Republic, Si'alei van Toor of New Zealand, Atanas Krastin of the Republic of Bulgaria, Eitvydas Bajarunas of the Republic of Lithuania, Meegahalande Durage Lamawansa of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Mark Michelsen of the Kingdom of Belgium.

In his speech, Uzbek Foreign Minister congratulated the ambassadors on their appointment and wished them success in carrying out their responsible diplomatic mission.

It was noted that in recent years Uzbekistan has achieved significant results in development of friendly, mutually beneficial relations with a wide range of foreign partners. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s open policy has significantly strengthened constructive and fruitful relations with states in almost all regions of the world, as well as with leading international and regional organizations.

The sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects for further development of Uzbekistan's multifaceted relations with the countries whose ambassadors presented their credentials. The importance of strengthening political dialogue and practical cooperation in trade, investment, finance and tourism, implementing joint projects in various industries, and strengthening cultural-humanitarian exchanges was noted.
