Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 August 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, who is in Seoul on a working visit, met with the Secretary of the President of the Republic of Korea for New South and North Policy Yeo Han Gu.

The sides noted with satisfaction the dynamic nature of bilateral relations in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres, as well as the similarity of approaches and positions on almost all international and regional issues.

The South Korean side noted that Uzbekistan is an important partner of Seoul in the Central Asian region within the framework of the "New Northern Policy" aimed at ensuring security and deepening multifaceted cooperation in the Eurasian space

An exchange of views took place on the implementation of joint projects in the areas of high technologies, green and digital economy, ICT, education, and healthcare.

The meeting also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
