Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 April 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov in Doha met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdulrahman bin Jasem Al Thani.
The state and prospects of bilateral relations in the political, trade and economic, investment, tourism, cultural and humanitarian spheres, interaction of the parties within the framework of international structures were discussed.
Mutual interest was confirmed in the development of Uzbek-Qatari cooperation, giving it a multifaceted character.
The ministers noted with satisfaction the fruitful results of the recent regular round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries and stressed the need to continue a constructive dialogue at all levels.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar highly appreciated the current level of bilateral cooperation aimed at achieving concrete results in all areas. According to the Minister, cooperation with Uzbekistan in expanding trade and economic ties occupies one of the priority places in Qatar's foreign policy.
Particular attention was paid to the development of interaction in the cultural, humanitarian and tourism fields.
During the conversation, the sides also considered other issues of a regional and international character.
