Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 August 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shah Mahmoud Kureishi, who arrived in Tashkent on a working visit.

During the negotiations, the current state and prospects for the development of a multifaceted Uzbek-Pakistani strategic partnership were discussed.

A common opinion was expressed on the importance of timely and high-quality implementation of the agreements reached during the negotiations at the highest level.

Special attention was paid to regional issues, including the situation in Afghanistan. The importance of consolidating efforts to provide assistance in preventing the escalation of tensions and achieving national accord in this country was noted.

An exchange of views took place on the implementation of joint infrastructure and investment projects. 

The schedule and organizational aspects of upcoming contacts at various levels are considered.
