Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 24 November 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Ghada Fathi Waly.

During the meeting, the current state and prospects of interaction between Uzbekistan and the UNODC were discussed.

The head of the UNODC was informed in detail about the large-scale reforms carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in all spheres of society.

The parties agreed to expand and strengthen cooperation in combating drug trafficking, organized crime and corruption.

Issues of the regional and international agenda were considered, in particular, those related to the situation in Afghanistan.
