Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 July 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held talks via video conferencing with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.

The foreign ministers reviewed the state and prospects of development of Uzbek-Qatari relations, exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming contacts at various levels

The parties emphasized the intensification of bilateral political dialogue, as well as a substantial increase in cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres.

The talks also discussed cooperation between Uzbekistan and Qatar to resolve the Afghan crisis and launch a peaceful negotiation process in that country.

During the conversation, the parties considered other issues of a regional and international nature.
