Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 October 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held a meeting with the Chairman of the Executive Committee - Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States Sergei Lebedev, who arrived in our country at the head of the CIS Observer Mission in the elections of the President of the Republic Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, it was noted that the sending of the Commonwealth delegation is a confirmation of the great interest of the CIS partners in the ongoing reforms and transformations in Uzbekistan.

Observers from the CIS are informed about the work carried out in the country to improve the electoral legislation, enhance the role of parliament and political parties, and strengthen public control in political processes.

The results of the recently held Summit of the heads of the Commonwealth member states and the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the progress of the implementation of the agreements reached and promising areas of interaction within the CIS were discussed.
