Abdulaziz Kamilov and Maroš Šefčovič discuss cooperation ties

Vice-President of the European Commission for Energy Union Maroš Šefčovič arrived in Tashkent on 18 May with the visit.

During the conversation, the sides discussed the state and prospects for deepening bilateral relations in various spheres.

As has been noted, the participation of the high-level delegation of the European Union in the 20th International Conference “Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan” in Tashkent confirms mutual interest in further diversification of mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of programs and projects within the framework of the European Union Strategy for a New Partnership with Central Asia.

The Head of the EU Delegation in Uzbekistan, Ambassador Yuri Sterk attended the meeting.
