Abdulaziz Kamilov and Anthony Blinken exchanged congratulatory messages

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19 February 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and Secretary of State of the United States of America Anthony John Blinken exchanged congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

In his message, Abdulaziz Kamilov notes that in recent years, bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and the United States have reached a qualitatively new level of development. Countries successfully interact on a wide range of issues in the fields of politics, economics, human rights and culture based on the principle of mutual respect. In this context, the decision to transform the mechanism of annual consultations into the Strategic Partnership Dialogue and the successful holding of its first meeting in Tashkent in 2021 are mentioned.

Fruitful cooperation with the United States is noted within the framework of international and regional formats, including the C5 + 1 mechanism. The importance of joining efforts to assist the people of Afghanistan is also emphasized.

In turn, Anthony Blinken highly appreciates the program of large-scale political and economic transformations being implemented in Uzbekistan. The readiness of the American side to continue to support the efforts of Uzbekistan to achieve its ambitious goals was emphasized.

The message notes the significant contribution of Uzbekistan to strengthening the C5 + 1 platform, including

in the areas of climate change mitigation, strengthening regional security and promoting regional prosperity.

In conclusion, the commitment of the United States to the full support of the reform course of Uzbekistan and the continuation of constructive interaction is emphasized.
