Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Abdukhakim Khadjibaev began his career as a surgeon and for the last twenty years served as General Director of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medicine, Chairman of the Association of Ambulance Physicians, Deputy Minister of Health and three times First Deputy Minister of Health.

In 2003, he was awarded the title of "Honored Health Worker of the Republic of Uzbekistan", and in 2020 he was awarded the order "El-Yurt Khurmati".
