Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - By the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 11 September 2021, Shavkat Abdukamilov was appointed acting executive director of the Branch of the National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI" in Tashkent.

Prior to the appointment, he served as head of the Department of Science, Innovation and Personnel Training at the Uzatom Agency.

Shavkat Abdukamilov is a candidate for technical sciences.

The Tashkent branch of NRNU MEPhI began its activities on 3 September 2019. Today, students study on a full-time basis in the following areas: "Nuclear Power Engineering and Thermal Physics", "Nuclear Physics and Technologies", "Heat Power Engineering and Heat Engineering" and "Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering".
