Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A 48-year-old employee of the Ferghana Oil Refinery (FNZ) doused herself with gasoline and set herself on fire. The Prosecutor General’s Office commented on the incident.
In the message, the department notes that the woman worked in one of the shops of the FNZ. But due to the closure of the workshop, she was offered the same job in the unitary enterprise of the plant. She did not agree to this proposal.
On 2 August, she doused herself with gasoline and set herself on fire next to the FNZ. She received first aid at the plant’s first-aid post and was then hospitalized. The injured woman was diagnosed with severe burns.
The Prosecutor General’s Office said that at the moment the reasons for the woman’s self-immolation are being established. A special commission has been set up.
