Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of an agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Japan Organization for the Development of Foreign Trade (JETRO), a regular webinar was held for representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in Japan.
The event was attended by over 50 representatives of Japanese organizations, enterprises and companies that are members of JETRO.
The webinar was organized with the aim of broad coverage of the favorable conditions for doing business created in the country and the key factors of the investment attractiveness of industries and regions.
Within the framework of the webinar, successful cases implemented in Bukhara and Navoi regions, in particular in the Navoi FEZ, were examined in detail.
Presentations are presented that reveal the advantages of doing business and the prerequisites for the implementation of investment projects in these regions, the provided tax preferences and other opportunities created for potential Japanese investors.
From the Japanese side, the head of the JETRO representative office in Uzbekistan D. Takahashi made a presentation, who dwelled on the specifics of the Uzbek market from the point of view of Japanese business, and measures to support Japanese business when investing in Uzbekistan.
As a result of the webinar, an agreement was reached on organizing a visit to Uzbekistan for a delegation from among the leaders of Japanese organizations and companies led by representatives of JETRO for a detailed discussion of the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation and specific investment projects.
On 20 May and 29 June 2021, in conjunction with JETRO, similar webinars were held, dedicated to a wide acquaintance of the Japanese business community with the investment climate of Uzbekistan, using the example of individual enterprises in the Tashkent and Samarkand regions.
