Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 August 2020, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the People's Republic of China, and the Uztekstilprom Association, a meeting was organized in the format of an online video conference with representatives of the Chinese company CCCT, as well as the textile manufacturing enterprise Orient International (Holding) Co., LTD.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Association "Uztekstilprom" Muhammadsaidov Bakhtiyor Bahriddinovich took part in the negotiations of the Uzbek side. From the Chinese side, the following speakers were: Deputy Chairman of CCCT Zhang Xian and Deputy General Director of Orient International.

The parties noted that the next holding of this event contributes to the further development of bilateral relations in the textile sector. The growth rates of the turnover of textile products were noted in the first half of this year.

During the negotiations, the main topic of discussion was the increase in the volume of export supplies of Uzbek finished textile and garment and knitted products to China. In addition, the sides discussed issues of lifting the so-called boycott of Uzbek cotton, and obtaining the status of a beneficiary of the "GSP +" system of the European Union. The parties discussed possible ways of developing further bilateral cooperation between the countries in the textile sector.

Following the negotiations, the Chinese side invited the Uztekstilprom Association, as well as textile manufacturing companies, to take part in the next China International Import Expo, which will be held in October this year in Shanghai.
