Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 June, a tragic incident occurred at a compressed natural gas (CNG) filling station in the Baysun district of Surkhandarya region when a Daewoo Nexia exploded during refueling.

According to local outlet Kun.uz, the driver had arrived to top up his vehicle’s methane tank when the blast took place, inflicting fatal injuries on the man, who died instantly at the scene.

Relevant authorities have launched an investigation into the causes and circumstances of the explosion. No official statements have yet been released.
