Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Azizkhon Rakhmonov, a lecturer at the Uzbek State University of World Languages, won the Teaching Without Borders international competition. This decision was made by the jury following the results of the second (full-time) stage of the competition, which was held on 22-23 December in Moscow in the format of defending the project in front of experts. The winners and laureates of the competition were announced at the official awards ceremony on 23 December, the full list is published on the competition website.
The international competition for teachers teaching in Russian abroad "Teaching Without Borders" is addressed to Russian language teachers in schools and open education centers of the CIS countries, as well as private teachers who teach Russian both by classical methods and using innovative educational technologies and own methodological developments.
The purpose of the competition is to identify and disseminate the best teaching practices, strengthening professional regional and international ties between teachers teaching Russian abroad. Thus, the competitive works of the winners and laureates will be published in the official electronic collection, which will be distributed in the professional community of teachers of the Russian language in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
In total, the competition received over 400 applications from 205 teachers from nine Commonwealth countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Each contestant could submit up to three applications with a description of their own pedagogical project - a fragment of a lesson, event or creative work with students, demonstrating interesting methodological techniques for solving educational problems. 12 finalists made it to the second round, among which the expert jury determined the winners and laureates of the competition in five categories: "For a creative approach to teaching the Russian language", "For the originality of the concept of a pedagogical project", "For the mastery of using teaching technologies", "For an innovative approach to the teaching of the Russian language” and “For the scientific approach to teaching the Russian language”.
Each contestant will receive a personalized certificate. The winners and laureates were awarded personalized diplomas and cash prizes: four winners - 50,000 Russian rubles each, eight laureates - 30,000 Russian rubles each.
