Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 September 2021, an online symposium was held jointly with the parliaments of Central Asian countries under the slogan "The role of legislative bodies in building a Community of the Common Destiny of China and Central Asia."
The event was attended by Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Budget and Economic Reforms E. Gadoev, deputies of the Legislative Chamber and members of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, representatives of local people's congresses of China and parliaments of Central Asian countries.
As it was noted, Uzbekistan highly appreciates and values the fruitful cooperation with China, which is based on strategic partnership and mutual benefit.
Cooperation between Uzbekistan and China is consistently developing in many areas, including in the field of parliamentarism. Agreements signed at the meetings of the heads of the two states serve as an important legal basis. Such meetings are a vivid confirmation of the interest of both parties in the further development and deepening of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
The symposium provided information on the measures implemented in the republic to reduce poverty, create a permanent income base for the population, and ensure sustainable economic growth of the country.
The parties noted that the meeting was held in the spirit of mutual trust and cooperation. In particular, it was noted that such events will contribute to strengthening inter-parliamentary ties based on the principles of equality, trust and mutual understanding, which have always been present in relations between Uzbekistan and China.
